Laser247 Cricket Exchange Guide: Back, Lay, Sessions and Trading Your First Match

The exchange is where most cricket money on Laser247 is traded, and the first week on it is where most mistakes are made, because the screen shows two prices for everything and lets you bet in either direction. This guide takes one match from the market list to settlement.

Reading the market screen

Two habits from day one. The back and lay prices on the same selection should be one or two ticks apart on a televised match; a wide gap means low liquidity, so wait or place an unmatched bet at your own price. And the matched figure tells you how much the market knows: a market with a few thousand rupees matched can be moved by one bet, and its price means less.

Your first back bet

Open the match and the match odds market before the toss.
Tap the back price on the team you fancy. The bet slip opens with that price and the stake field.
Enter the stake. The slip shows the profit if the team wins; the loss is the stake.
Confirm. If the price was the best available, the bet is matched for as much money as was offered there; any excess waits as unmatched at your price.
The bet appears under Matched or Unmatched in the market. An unmatched bet can be edited or cancelled until it matches.

Your first lay bet

Laying is betting that something will not happen. Tap the lay price instead of the back price, enter the stake, and the slip shows the liability: stake × (price − 1). Laying India at 1.80 for ₹1,000 risks ₹800 to win ₹1,000. The liability is reserved from the balance when matched. On a two-team match, laying one team is the same position as backing the other; compare the two prices and take the better one.

Trading: closing a position before the result

You can close any position by taking the opposite side at the current price. The sizing formula for closing a back bet is lay stake = back stake × back price ÷ current lay price.

The cash-out button performs step 3 at the best available price. Doing it manually lets you choose the price, for example an unmatched lay at 1.40 that may match a few balls later for a better result. The locked-in figure is before commission, which is charged once on the net winnings of the market.

Your first session bet

A session is a runs line on a block of overs. Suppose the line for the first six overs is 52.5, with Yes at 1.95 and No at 1.90. Yes wins if 53 or more runs are scored in those overs, extras included; No wins at 52 or fewer. The line moves every ball, so a bet placed after a boundary is at a higher line than one placed before it. Two rules matter: the market settles on the official scorecard for the block, and if the block is not completed, the market is void unless the line had already been passed. Sessions are the fastest market on the platform, and the easiest place to bet more often than you planned; decide the number of session bets per match before the toss.

Commission

The exchange charges commission on your net winnings in a market, after all your bets in that market are netted. A losing market carries no commission. The rate is shown on each market and falls with higher Club tiers. In the trading example, commission applies to the ₹1,552 once, not to each leg.
